There is no mini golf product like SHANX in the Southern Hemisphere. A concept that caters for the pro golfer to the ‘never played before’ and everyone in between. Our concept is unique to the Australian market whereby our mini golf courses are not ‘amusement based’ with clown heads, windmills and rocks in the middle of putting surfaces, but rather golf as we know it, miniaturised. The finished showering space and washrooms have been very well received by the members of Crowborough Golf Club.Experience our brand new, one-of-a-kind mini golf course! They were delighted with the efficiency and cleanliness of the project as well as the measures we went to ensure no damage was caused by bringing materials in and out through the changing rooms. The refurbishment was completed on time and on budget while constantly liaising with the committee to keep them informed of the progress. This work was carried out in the low season so as not to collide with the busy spring and summer periods. Grab rails in this pack are of a contrasting colour to the wall so that they can be easily made out by the visually impaired. This includes all the necessary fittings to comply with Document-M of Building Regulations, including a raised height toilet pan, wash basin and large paddle-activated tap. Jasper Morrison urinals were fitted against full height duct sets, clad in solid grade laminate, a material completely impervious to water and boasting strong hygienic and durability credentials.Īs part of this project, we also fitted a disabled washroom using an Armitage Shanks back to wall Doc-M pack. Water controls came by way of Armitage Shanks lever taps, which can be used easily by those with dexterity issues in the hands. This meant that there were no unsightly joins and delivered a smooth, timeless look to the area. The hand wash area consisted of a Corian solid surface vanity top with integrated basins. ![]() Being half height, these duct sets provided a shelf behind the toilet pan so that members could put their bags, hats or jackets on them. Inside, half height duct sets were used to conceal all the mains feeds and waste pipes, creating a sleeker, smarter looking toilet, but also making it easier to clean. The toilet stalls were retiled and new internal doors, door linings, architrave and hardware were added. This means that the lights are only activated when a user is actually in the washroom. Thermostatic Bristan showers were installed in this wetroom, all with adjustable shower heads for user convenience.Ī brand new suspended ceiling was put up, which housed upgraded ventilation and a new LED lighting system that was controlled by a PIR sensor. This was then covered with an anti-slip floor tile specifically designed for wetroom environments. The floor in the wetroom was re-screeded to ensure the floor would run towards linear Aco floor drains. These larger tiles cut down on grout lines, which are an area prone to bacteria build up. A 300 x 600 large format tile was used to cover the walls in a mid-grey colour. ![]() This is tough enough to stand up to golf spikes and comes with a 20 year warranty. This process also allowed the committee to engage the members at a distance about the works which would soon be happening.Īfter removing the existing washroom, stripping it back to a bare shell, we fitted a new Altro Reliance safety flooring. This allowed them to get a clear idea as to what the finished washrooms would look like ahead of any works taking place. The existing washrooms and showering area were looking tired and had not been updated in over 20 years.Īs with many golf clubs we work with, the committee wanted to go through a number of options and ensure the new washrooms would deliver not only the best finish, but the longest lifespan possible.Īfter looking over material samples, we were able to supply the golf club with a full specification, CAD drawings and 3D visuals. ![]() ![]() The facilities committee at Crowborough Golf Club approached us to refurbish their members washrooms.
